Knitters' Badge—All rangers and guides who have entered for the knitters' badge must leave their work at the Guide Office not later than Tuesday afternoon next, August 14 Firr.t-c'ass Badg" I —Guiders are asked to note that no guide after sixJeenand a half-years of age may en'er for her first-class and all round cords. All guides who have reached that age must pass on to rangers. No guide may enter for more than six badges in the year. St. Peter's, Upper Riccarton—On July 28 this company held an enrolment with colours, when Mrs Livingstone (district commissioner) enrolled four girls. They were: M. Scott, B. Irvine, D. Nairn, and G..Wright. Miss Pitts is acting-captain and Miss Mackissack acting-lieutenant. Thirty-first Christchurch-Spraydon Company—this company held its third birthday and parents' evening recently in St. Martin's schoolroom. Lincoln road. Miss Sloan is acting-captain and Miss Smail acting-lieutenant. Miss Bromley Cocks (provincial commissioner) and Mrs McKillop (district commissioner) were present, also the Rev. Mr Atkinson and Mrs Atkinson. The fir.st half of the evening tOQk the, form of a usual guide night. The colours were broken and an enrolment took place, followed by a knot race and a morse game. Mrs McKillop f nrolled two guides and Miss Cocks enrolled nine members of the committee and presented service stars und badges. Ena Cross and Mona Sloan were presented with their first-class and all-round cords. These are the fa st to be gained in the company. The inter-patrol shield was won by the Kingfisher Patrol, under Leader Ena Cross, and the ambulance challenge cup was won by *he Fantail Patrol, under Leader Mona Sloan. Miss Cocks gave the company a short address and spoke of the great improvement in the company during the last year. Thanks are due to Mrs C. Thomas, who instructed the girls for the ambulance badge and Mrs Neave for the birthday cake, which was decorated in blue anil gold, the company's colours.
