CENTENARY AIR RACE

ONLY SWEDISH ENTRANT WITHDRAWS LONDON, August 9. Lieutenant Marshal Lindholm (Sweden), who entered a Northrop Delta machine for the Melbourne centenary air race, is not competing, as a sister aeroplane crashed in July and the Aero Transport Company is now unable to allow Lieutenant Lindholm to take a machine from the service. [Lieutenant Lindholm was the only entrant from Sweden, his intention being to compete in the speed section with a Northrop Delta, a singleengined low-wing monoplane with a cruising speed of 190 miles an hour and a range of 1500 miles.]
