PRESS CONGRESS OF THE WORLD
MEETING IN MELBOURNE (Received August 9, 8.20 p.m.) MONTREAL, August 8. A message from Missouri states that Dr. Walter Williams announced that the Press Congress of the World would be convened at Melbourne next month. The exact dates would be determined by the executive committee. The selection of Melbourne follows an invitation extended to the president of the congress, Mr Robert Bell, of Christchurch, New Zealand (who is at present in Queensland), by the Australian Government and centenary officers. Mr Frank L. Martin, Associate Dean of the School of Journalism at Missouri University, has been nominated as chairman of the convention.
