At the conclusion of the police evidence concerning the death of a young woman who died in a private hospital on July 1, allegedly after an illegal operation. Clara Nicholson, alias Naylor, aged 62, pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial by Mr E. Page, S.M., to-day. The woman is charged that by using an instrument for an unlawful purpose she caused the death of the girl, thereby committing manslaughter.
