! The Hornby Croquet Club concluded | its 1934 season with a successful child- . rcn's fancy dress ball held in the Is- ■ lington Hall on Friday evening. Worsley. j During the evening the opportunity ! was taken to present the Dickey Shield, j played for during the last season, to | Mrs T. B. Grant. Mrs Oldfield made ! the presentation. I Music for dancing was supplied by j Mesdames C. Worsley and F. A. McTeigue. Mr Oldfield was master of cercj monies. Items were given by Misses Nola Gan-ett, Enid Bell, Winders McMullan (Christchurch), Grace and Margaret Richardson, Nancy Cook and Emmerline Maclaine, Gertrude Bainbridge, and Daisy McTeigue. Mrs F. A. McTeigue was the accompanist. A special prize was presente-J to Christine .-.tuart (Keep uff tho Grass), and the prize for parents with most children in fancy dress was awarded to Mrs Maclaine and Mrs Richardson.
