ECONOMY PROMISED IN ONTARIO
ABOLITION OF "POMP AND CEREMONY" TORONTO. June 21. The Prcmier-EJ'. c' of Ontario, Mr Mitchell Hepburn, has backed a campaign of economy promises with the declaration that the post of Lieutenant-Governor will be abolished, the Chief Justice assuming his Twenty-three commissions, many of which are composed of "experts," will have to go, he says, adding: "We are going to do away with pomp and ceremony to save the taxpayers' money." TASMANIAN MINISTRY <j, MEMBERS OF NEW LABOUR GOVERNMENT lIOBART, June 22. The new Tasmanian Ministry elected by the Labour party is as follows: Premier: Mr A. G. Ogilvie, K.C. Treasurer: Mr E. Dwyer-Gray. Chief Secretary and Minister for Agriculture: Mr T. G. D'Alton. Attorney-General and Minister for Forestry: Mr E. J. Ogilvie. Minister for Lands, Works, and Mines: Mr T. H. Davies. Honorary Minister for Railways: Mr R. Cosgrove. Honorary Minister for Education and Health: Dr. J. C. Gaha M.L.C. Honorary Minister: Mr J. McDonald, M.L.C. The names of Messrs D. J. O'Keeft and H. Kelly will be submitted tc the Assembly when it meets for election as Speaker and chairman of committees, i espectively.
