BOATS COLLIDE IN VENICE
FIVE PERSONS DROWNED (Received June 22, 10.40 p.m.) VENICE, June 22. Five were drowned in front of Saint Mark's square when the crowded ferry Guidecca, running between Venice and the Lido, rammed and sank a motor-launch in which two boatmen were conveying a family of six. The cabin door of the launch jammed, making it impossible to rescue the passengers.
