SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mrs I. W. Raymond, who has been staying at Beverley House (Wai-iti road), left yesterday for Christchurch. Miss Denderah Rhodes (Hadlow) and Miss Mary Bridges (Selwyn street) have left for Dunedin to commence training at the public hospital. Mrs R. T. Turnbull (Beverley road) has returned from a visit to North Canterbury. Miss Vera Burrows, of the Timaru Hospital, left yesterday to join the Hamilton Public Hospital. At the residence of Mrs S. Cunningham (Seddon street), members of the Highfield Croquet Club gathered to say good-bye to Mrs G. Taylor, the former secretary, who will leave shortly for Southland. The president (Mrs Hart) referred to the good work done for the club by Mrs Taylor, and presented her with a pair of crystal vases with members' best wishes.
