OBITUARY
MR JAMES CAFFIN (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.I WANGANUI, June 22. The death has occurred of Mr James Caffln, aged 92, formerly of Dunedin, where he was for many years a partner in the stationery firm of Wise, Caffln, and Company. Later he was Dominion representative for Sands and McDougall, Melbourne. Mr Caffln was one of the first commercial travellers in New Zealand. He is survived by four sons, Messrs E. M. Caffln, secretary of the Farmers' Insurance, Christchurch, M. P. Caffln, local manager of Canadian National Steamships, C. R. Caffln, secretary of the Forbury Park Trotting Club, J. A. Caffln, Melbourne, and a daughter, Mrs J. H. Reid, Wanganui. - COMMANDANT C. STYLES The death occurred yestei'day of Commandant Charles Styles, one of the best known officers of tilt Salvation Army in Christchurch, at tne age of 67 years. He commanded many field appointments several years ago before taking up work in the city. He retired about five years ago. Commandant Styles leaves a widow and two children. The funeral will be held on Sunday at 2.30 p.m.
