SHIPPING NOTES The Port Whangarei is due to-day from the south and is to sail this afternoon for Wellington, Auckland, Tauranga, and Whangarei. The Gale is to load here to-day for Wellington and Wanganui. The Parera is due this morning from Timaru and will take in cargo for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Opihi, due this morning from Timaru, is to load for Nelson and New Plymouth. The Taupata is now due here tomorrow from Tarakohe and will load on Monday for Nelson and nearby bays. The Awahou, due to-morrow from Gisbrne, is to take in cargo here on Monday for Waikokopu and other East Ccast bays of the North Island. The Waikouaiti, from Newcastle and Sydney, via southern ports, is now expected to arrive at Lyttelton on Tuesday. She is to sail later for Oamaru, Bluff, Sydney, and Hobart.

The Kaimai is now to arrive here , to-day from Wellington to discharge '• coal from Westport. She will complete discharge at Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin. *• The John is to load here on Wed--1 nesday for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Holmdale is an expected arrival at Lyttelton on Wednesday, from Timaru. She will load for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Waimarino is due at Lyttelton on Friday, from Auckland and Weli lington, and is to sail the same day for Dunedin and Timaru, omitting Bluff. BLUFF, June 22. Arrived, Waitaki (9.10 a.m.), from Adelaide; Canadian Cruiser (9.30 a.m.), from Melbourne. TANKER TO ARRIVE TO-MORROW The Norwegian tanker Filefjell, which arrived at Auckland on Wednesday from Balik Papan, left Auckland again on Thursday afternoon for Lyttelton. She is due here to-morrow morning to discharge motor-spirits to the agency of the Shell Oil Company, and is to sail on Monday for New Plymouth to complete. FOXTON TO LOAD AT KAIAPOI The coastal motor-ship Foxton is due at Lyttelton to-day from Picton with refrigerated cargo. She is to leave Lyttelton on Monday for Kaiapoi, srbere she will load for northern ports. ;

ORAM DUE TO-MORROW The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-ship Orari, with Liverpool cargo to the agency of the Federal Line, has been delayed at Wellington by rain, and is now due at Lyttelton to-morrow. She will complete discharge at Dunedin and Bluff. WAITAKI LATER The Union Steam Ship Company's new steamer Waitaki, which is to take up the Wainui's running in the Mel-bourne-South Island-Wellington service, was delayed by rough weather, and was expected to arrive at Blufi yesterday from Swansea, via Safaga. and Adelaide. She is now expected to arrive at Lyttelton on Tuesday. LONDON'S SHIPPING During the week ended May 4, 982 vessels, representing 881,433 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of I these. 509 vessels (669,862 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 473 vessels (211.571 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included 12 meat cargoes—five from Australia. three from New Zealand, two from North America, and two from South America, comprising 278,000 carcases of lamb and mutton, 132.000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries TEES FOR CHATHAM ISLANDS The Tees Is timed to leave Lyttelton at 1 p.m. to-day for the Chatham Islands. She will call at Waitangi, Owenga, Kaingaroa, and Pitt Island, and may return from the islands to .Wellington, before coming to Lyttelton.
