The Waikorohihi geyser at Whakarewarewa, which has been continuously active for the last two years, has ceased playing since the renewed activity of the Pohutu geyser. The Cauldron is extremely active and has risen at least two feet above normal, a most unusual feature. The Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu geyser are still showing signs of intense subterranean activity, although they have not sent up any shots since tVie sudden outburst a fortnight ago. All the other main geysers at Whakarewarewa are still very active, including the twin geysers.
