CONVERSION OF CAR
(PRBS3 ASSOCIATION TELBOEAif.) ASHBURTON, June 21. Charged with the conversion of a car, Henry Charles Cunningham, aged 23, of Dunedin, and Joseph Charles Marks, aged 30, of New Brighton, were sentenced to one month's imprisonment. On a charge of the theft of a suitcase belonging to Alister Harrison, at Wedderburn, Cunningham was remanded to the Supreme Court at Dunedin. , After being sentenced, Marks said: "I'would like to say a word of thanks for the good attention of Sergeant W. T. Kelly. I think he is the most considerate policeman I have ever met. He looked after us very well, and. if they were all like that I am sure not many of us would go back to gaol." The accused were arrested eight days ago.
