The police were again j compelled to control the crowds i wherever she went. She was also | the guest of a group of prominent business men and women at the Hotel Australia. However, she found time for a hurried visit to Mascot and inspected the Southern Cross. The engine of her Moth has been completely stripped and she has decided to have three new cylinder heads fitted. Miss Batten met Mr R. M. Hacket, editor of the Auckland "New Zealand Herald,'' who is spending a holiday here. Miss Batten, who is deeply grateful for the scores of messages of congratulation which she is receiving from New Zealand, is especially pleased by the messages from Lord Bledisloe and the Rt. Hon. G.
