EDUCATION CONFERENCE

At tlie invitation of the Canterbuiy Education Board, the Director of Education air N. T. Lumbourne) has consented to confer with members oi me board and committees of city and suburban schools on the subject oi mteimediate schools. At the conference Mr Lambourne proposes to outline, for the benefit of newly-elected committee men, "the aims and advantages of the new system." An invitation is extended to members of school committees and headmasters to be present at the meeting, which is to take place at 730 p.m. on Monday, June 11, in the music hall, of the Christchurch Training College. The board is confident that the director will have some interesting information to impart, and that committees and head teachers will profit bv attendance at the meeting.
