MR HUBERT CARTER'S SEASON Great interest has been aroused in tiie forthcoming season of grand opera which will be presented by Mr Hubert Carter in the Radiant Hall for a season of four nights, commencing to-morrow evening. The box plan is now open at the D.1.C., and there has been a steady demand for seats. This is the fourth and farewell season to be presented to Christchurch musiclovtrs by Mr Carter, and remembering his previous successful seasons, especially last year's, which created such a great impression, inucli is anticipated this year. A programme of great- variety, comprising scenes and acts from the most popular operas, ha., been compiled, and will be interpreted by leading artists of outstanding ability. Mr Carter himself will do the tenor roles in all scenes, and they provide him with the greatest opportunity to display his many gifts as an interpretative artist. Beautiful costumes, numbering more than 200 (rreating authentic atmosphere—will be worn, and an operatic chorus of 40 pckecl voices will be supporting Mr Carter. The programme will be sung in English throughout, and the story of each scene is printed on the programme. Early application for seats at the box office is advisable.
