Other Centres Auckland—Fine .sunny weather and a light easterly wind were experienced during Hie week-end. but conditions were cold at night. The barometer was high and steady at 30.50 in yesterday morning, but was falling after midday. Wellington—Wellington experienced fine and pleasant weather, with practically no wind, during the week-end On Saturday night three degrees ol frost were registered. Dunedin—The weather was fine in Dunedin on Saturday, after a cold night with a keen frost. There was considerable mist in the morning, but there were periods of sunshine in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 44 decrees. Another frost was experienced on Saturday night, and yesterday was clear and fine, wtih no wind. The barometer is falling. FORECAST (From readings taken at 4 p.m.) General Situation—An intense anticyclone still covers New Zealand. A depression is now advancing across the Tasman Sea in front of another intense anti-cyclone over south-east Australia. Winds—Strong easterly in the far north, elsewhere moderate, but freshening easterly to north-easterly, later changing to southerly. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rough north of Kawhia and East Cape, becoming rather rough about Cook and Foveaux Strait, elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea—East to southeast winds, strong in the northern portion, with rough seas, moderate in iM southern portion, moderate seas. Weather—Fair at first, soon becoming cloudy to overcast generally, later scattered showers or misty rain probable, especially in eastern districts and the far north and south.
