Senate Abolition Bill making a three-fifths j majority vote in the Dail necessary j for the removal of any member of j the judiciary. j Dr. Thomas O'Higgins said that ' I failing such a precaution the j wobbling will of one man would i i rule throughout the country and his j vindictiveness would decide every- ; : one's destiny. ; Mr Desmond Fitzgerald declared j j that the bill, if enacted, would give I ; Mr de Valera more power than the | j Tsar or any European government j had ever had, obviating the neces- i ! sity of his ever again facing the ! ! electors.
