TROTSKY SEEKING A HOME
EMISSARY AT WORK IN LONDON (Received April 25, 8.21 p.m.) LONDON, April 24. The "News Chronicle" says that M. Leon Trotsky, the man whom nobody wants, is dramatically making a bid for refuge under the Union Jack. An emissary has arrived in London to attempt to persuade the Government to permit M. Trotsky to live in the Channel Islands. He has so far succeeded to the extent that influential personalities, including Mr D. Lloyd George, are making representations to the Cabinet.
