+ OPENING ON SATURDAY The Christchurch Operatic Society's rehearsals of "Les Cloches de Corneville" indicate that the society may face the season with good prospects ot success. Lampen is the producer, Mr Alfred Bunz is the musical director, and Miss Bessie Macdonald the ballet mistress. The opera will be staged at St. James' Theatre on Saturday, April 28, and the season will continue till Saturday, May 5, with matinees on both Saturdays. The box plan is at the D.I.C.
