SHIPPING NOTES The Wingatui. is to load here to-day for Auckland. The Gabriella was an arrival at Lyttelton on Tuesday from Timaru. She discharged coal from Wcstport, and is to load here to-day for Napier and Auckland. The Tees should arrive here early to-morrow morning from Chatham Islands, and is to sail in the afternoon on the return trip. The Opihi is to load here to-day for Nelson and New Plymouth, and will sail via Wellington. The Hauraki was an arrival at Lyttelton yesterday from Wellington. She has cargo from Pacific Coast ports of Canada and United States for discharge, and will also load here. The tanker Toorak was an arrival at Lyttelton on Tuesday evening from Auckland. She is discharging motorspirits from San Francisco, and is to sail to-day for Hobart. The Parera is now expected here on Friday from t.ie south. She will take in cargo for Nelson, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Storm arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from southern ports. She is to load and sail this afternoon for Wellington and Wanganui. The Holmdale is to take in cargo here on Saturday for Wellington. Picton. and Wanganui. The Port Whangarei is timed to load here on May 4 for Wellington, Auckland, Tauranga, and Whangarei. PORT HUNTER LEAVES LONDON The Port Hunter left London on Saturday for Wellington, Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on May 27. NAVIGATION WARNING The following warning is published by the Auckland Harbour Board:— Notice is hereby given that Imperial and International Communications, Ltd., have laid two mark buoys with red flags approximately in the centre of the channel off Kauri Point. These buoys are approximately 80 feet apart, east and west, and mark the line of the Pacific cable in that vicinity. Masters of launches and others are warned to keep clear of these buoys, which will be moored in these positions until the water pipe-line has been laid.

AKAROA'S SAILING PUT BACK

The Akaroa. after loading at Port Chalmers, was to leave there yesterday morning for Wellington. She is now to sail Anally from Wellington at daybreak on May 2 for Southampton and London, via Panama. TI'KAKINA radios The Turakina, en route from Liverpool in ballast, reports by radio that she expects to arrive at Oamaru, her first loading port, at noon to-day. NEW ZEALAND REPORTS The tanker New Zealand, en route from San Pedro, reports that she expects to arrive at Dunedin to-morrow morning. She will complete discharge of her cargo of petrol at Lyttellon and Auckland. NORFOLK DUE THIS MOIiMMi The B'ederal steamer Norfolk was delayed at Wellington, and left there yesterday morning for Lyttelton. She is due here this morning to complete loadigg to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Co., Ltd., and is to sail to-morrow for London and Hook of Holland. SMART DISCHARGE A smart discharge was made by the motor-tanker . Toorak (formerly the Voco), which arrived at Lyttelton on Tuesday night from Auckland with motor-spirits from San Francisco for (he Gilmore Oil Company. The vessel arrived late, and although it was quite dark, was safely and expeditiously; berthed at the oil-wharf by the Harbour Board pilot. Pumping commenced at once and continued all night.
