NEW HONOURS BOARD AT GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL
_* GIFT FROM OLD GIRLS' ASSOCIATION A new honours board, presented by [he Old Girls' Association, to provide additional space for the names of pupils who have won scholarships and degrees, will be unveiled at the Christchurch Girls' High School at 3.30 on Monday afternoon. The old board has been filled, but it is expected that the jicw board will serve for the next 30 years. Five long panels and four short panels are provided on the board, which was made of oak and polished by Mr F. G. Gurnscy. At the top arj four winged figure.--, symbolic of the subjects taught in {Tie school. In the centre above them is the badge of th.' Old Girls' Association and below the figures is a carved foliated frieze with birds in relief.
