COLLECTING FOR GOSPEL WORK
TO THE EDITOR OP THE MESS. Sir,—l read in "The Press" of Wednesday a letter signed "Bible Student." I agree it is a "terrible thing" even to want to commercialise "Our Lord's Gospel." "Bible Student" quotes the text: "Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate." This does not only refer to "worldly and evil influences," but it is a "command" to "teach" and "everyone" to be on guard against the "sins" of the soul. And as human nature is "hypocritical," I would say that the sins of hypocrisy, of self-righteousness, and the desire to be God's judges, are ever striving for th« mastery, and so hindering the extension of God's kingdom.—Yours, etc., A CONTRIBUTOR.
