Bantu Africans are venturing more and more into the realms of literature. and there are several weekly journals that are wholly controlled editorially and managed by the Bantu, with a decided political trend. But Irom behind this form of writing has emerged a national aspiration to a more substantial expression, free of politics. A new addition to African literature is a translation of one of Rider Haggard's novels by a Bantu sergeant of the Swaziland police, named F. Ntuli. It is written in Zulu. It is the writer's ambition to give his own Zulu people stories drawn from their own history. POULTRY AND EGGS FOR SALE.
