While the main issue—as to whether the Mau adherents will co-operate with the authorities—has not yet been made clear, a favourable result of the negotiations is not beyond hope. The Administrator intimated that matters would bo left for deliberation during bis absence in New Zealand, and he will expect an answer on his return.
