SITUATION IN SAMOA
NEGOTIATIONS WITH ADMINISTRATOR (rf!ES3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, April 21. The Samoan correspondent of the United Press Association, writing from Apia on April 6, states that fonos were held at Mulinuu between the recon"'led Snmoans and the Administrator (Brigadier-General H. E. Hart) comrioncing en March 27, and ending on April 3. While the main issue—as to whether the Mau adherents will co-operate with the authorities—has not yet been made clear, a favourable result of the negotiations is not beyond hope. The Administrator intimated that matters would bo left for deliberation during bis absence in New Zealand, and he will expect an answer on his return.
