Other Centres Auckland —Fine weather and a light north-east wind again prevailed yesterday. The barometer continued steady. Wellington—Although dull, the •vvea'her was mild and pleasant, with a alight northerly wind prevailing. The maximum temperature was 65 degrees. Dunedin—The weather yesterday was cloudy, but mild and line. A light north-easterly breeze was blowing throughout the day. The maximum temperature was 68 degrees. The barometer remained steady in the vicinity of 30.45 degrees. FORECAST (From readings taken at 4 p.m.) General Situation —There is little change in the meteorological situation. An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand, and extends far to the eastward, ■while a shallow depression lies along the East Coast of Australia.
Winds—Moderate to fresh, northeasterly to northerly prevailing. Southerly at first in parts of the Cook Strait area. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rather rough north of East Cape; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea—Moderate to strong northerly winds; moderate seas. Weather—Fair to fine. Mild in most districts, with cloud gradually increasing generally, and mist or fog likely on parts of the East Coast. Later some scattered drizzling rain probable. DOMINION REPORTS Station. Wind.
