i 4» | LINCOLN BRANCH The annual meeting of the Lincoln Women's Institute was held in the hall, when Mrs Acheron presided over a full attendance of members. The annual report stated that the year had been one of progress and steady growth. The meetings had been well attended and the handwork had been of a very hieh standard. The balance-sheet, considered very satisfactory, showed a small credit. Oilicers elected were:—President, Mrs W Templeton; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. Stewart. W. Hopley, and G. Mrs Aeheson Honoured A handsome crystal rose bowl was presented to Mrs A. H. Aeheson by Mrs Templeton. who bpoke of the. work Mrs Aeheson had done as the I founder and president of the branch. I She expressed regret that Mrs Aeheson was leaving. Mrs Aeheson thanked the members not only for their beautiful gilt but for their loyal support and friendship during her term of office Mrs Templeton also presented a gold brooch to Miss Giles, another member who is leaving the branch.
