BUSINESS OF CITY COUNCIL
The infcliiig i'f the Christehuri h City Council on Monday evening next probably will be a long one if the business to bo dealt with is any guide. The appointment of a custodian and a woman attendant at the municipal baths ts: one matter to be considered. At last month's meeting it was decided to supply each councillor with, a list of the applicants fur both positions together with a summary of their (juabl'ications. and the recommendation of the baths committee about the appointments was held oxer to give members of tin- council an opportunity to peruse the particulars. At the February meeting a petition protesting against high fences in the city was referred to the town planning committee, which. probably, will report on the matter on Monday. There are three motions, of which notice has been given: one by Cr. M. E. Lyons with reference to Sunday tennis on municipal reserves, another by Cr. 11. T. J. Thnckcr relative to holding a Health. Week, and the tlurd by Cr. A. E. Armstrong, relating to the adjustment of the salaries rJ the council's staff,
