New Zealand will not be officially represented at the worlds daiij congress, to be held at Milan and Rome from April 30 to May 0. The Inst conference was that held in Copenhagen three years ago. and on that occasion the accredited New Zealand delegate was the inspector of New Zealand dairy produce in London. -Mr \V. Wright. The view has been taken by Hie authorities that, the sending of a delegate to this year's congress, even from England. is not justitied.

The conference will be a fed at the Capitol. m t-1L presence of the King ot will be accompanied by the Queen. The business will be transacted in Rome on April 30. May 1, and on M'iv ° May 3 ill be devoted to excursions and visits. On May 4 eoicress members will go on special trains to Milan, after a short stop in Florence or m Pisa. On May a and the following day congress meetings will be resumed m Milan. Agricultural visits and touting excursions will follow the meetings oi the congress. The congress will be divided into whieh will di-cut-s the fof lowing questions:-—Cattle biceaing and milk production: the hygiene, chemistry, and bacteriology of milk and dairy products: milk and daily products* as human food: the industrial utilisation and commerce o> milk and dairy products: teaching, experimentation, anal propaganda concerning milk and dairy product. - -, legislation and control of mill: and dairy products: veterinary problems concerning miik and tropical dairie.-. Italian, French, English, and German are the languaues allowed durioj.: the debates oi the congres... Each Mition will discuss subjects on the agenda paper that are both of general character and of an interest for th" entire world, while general relators will summarise the report:; submitk'l by congress members.
