| ♦ NEW SERIES TO BE BE IE AND | WHITE The number plates for motor vehicles for the next licensing year, which begins on June 1, will be blue with white numerals, this combination being different from any previously used. Two separate sequences of numbers will be used for cars in the Christchurch registration district. The numbers on one series will range from 90.-101 to 99.500 and will not have an initial letter. The second series will have the initial X, and will run from X-l to X-8400. Plain numbers, having a sequence from 10.80 l to 20,900, will be used for motor-cycles. A proposal is under consideration for a rearrangement of the numbers j and initial letters for trailers, rental j cars, and other vehicles used for j special purposes. I
