Dr. Octken. on anti-German feelings still prevailing in Australia. These! however surprising as they I are. are ascribed to "Jewish propaganda." It would indeed be astonishing if the German Jews, or their more fortunate co-nationals abroad, were not to seek publicity for the injuries, humiliations, and deprivations inflicted upon them by the Nordic world saviours. But it happens that in this morning's cable news you print extracts from two instructive reports | j .doubtless of Aryan origin., one by I I Uic former president of the Gorman Peace Societv. the second by the chief I of the German political police depart-]

A. Oetken. described as a German scientist, told your reporter vhat he was very surprised that an antiGerman feeling still existed. But he surprises when he states that the happenings in Germany, reported in Australian papers, are Jewish propaganda. I prefer to believe the accounts cabled out. and what has been published in "The Times" and "Manchester Guardian." giving in detail the atrocities committed by Hitler's men against their co-national opponents. Jews and others. What will Dr. Oetken say with reference to the cable in "The Press" this morning, giving the experiences of Gerhaidt Soger, formerly secretary of the German Peace Society? Will he describe this as "propaganda"? I The fact is. Dr. Oetken is a propagandist for Hitler and cannot take anv other attitude it' he is returning to "Germany.
