_- .... FACTORS PREVENTING LOAN CONVERSIONS t Received March 20, 11.10 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 20. The Prime Minister (Mr R. B. Bennett) told the House of Commons, on Monday night, that two factors stand in the way of a general conversion of Dominion bonds: Wartime tax free bonds must be redeemed, and the 1,250.000 dollars a week deficits of the Canadian National Railways must cease. The Prime Minister said it would lie national suicide for Canada, a vouug country awaiting development, to repudiate or default on her bonded indebtedness.
