COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
A number of friends and relatives gathered in the Orange Hall. Rangiora. to celebrate the eoming-of-agc of Gwendoline Mabel, second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Burt (Leithfield). As the guest of honour entered the hall, she was presented with a bouquet by Miss M. Straw. Mr Burt presented'a gold key to his daughter, who also received a lucky horseshoe from her small brother, Sclwyn. The cake, which had been decorated with 21 doves, was given by Miss Burt's aunt. Mrs C. Ash worth tSottoni. Games, competitions, and dancing helped the time to pass pleasantly. Competitions were won by Miss T. Edlin and Mr A. Gartery. Music was supplied bv the Misses Straw and Churchill (Christchurch), and Mr A Burt was master of ceremonies. Song-; were sung by Misses Joyce Ashworth. Cora Wheeler, and Master Sclwyn Burt.
