On Sunday evening, at 7.30 o'clock. • two cars met in a head-on collision ; at Oldham's Creek bridge, four miles from Nelson, on the main highway. M. P. Russell, a city councillor, the driver cf one car, was thrown forward on the broken windscreen and his throat was badly cut. Miss Campbell, the other driver, was badlv shaken. E. Lafrantz, W. J. S. Smith. W. Gav. and Russell were sent to hospital.
