HAN.MER SPRINGS CLUB The Hanmer Springs. Golf Club played the iinals of its championships during the week-end. The men's junior event attracted many onlookers. The results were as follows: Senior championship—A. Reid von, 6 up and 5. Junior championship—A. J. Lahmert won, 4 up and J. Women's junior championship— Miss Joan Sutherland won. 3 up and 1. The standard of play was below the usual championship form, Reid taking, 82 and Ensor tit! for the 18 holes. Reid gained the lead and retained it throughout. In the afternoon, Reid again took the lead and went on to win, t> up and 5. In the junior finals. A. J. Lahmert and Donald Stark were both first season players. In the morning Lahmert finished' 2 up, taking 87. In the afternoon Lahmert kept his lead, winning 4 up and 3. The finalists for the women's junior chamoionshio were Miss W. Hcushaw and M„ss J. Trotter, who presided, reported that with till.- new links the season had proved the most successful for many years. The membership had largely inereuM'd.
