March 1(1. \ Instantaneous death to ;i pillion pas- i sender, serious injuries to tlie ridcr of a motor-cycle, and injuries to the driver of a car were the results of a collision that occurred between a motor-cycle and a motor-ear at the corner of Hutt road and Ngahauranga Gorge on Saturday evening. The passengers in the car were unhurl, although the car was badly- damaged. The motor-cycle was wrecked. The pillion rider, who received a fractured skull, was Leslie London, of Tawa Flat. Stanley Keith Swan, rider of the cycle, received injuries to the head and face. His injuries were serious, but he was reported to-night as being in a satisfactory condition. The driver of the car. Alfred J. Daniel, an engineer, of Petone. received a wound to the right hand and shock. He was discharged from hospital to-day. j The accident occurred at (i.l.'i p.m. i It is reported that shortly before the: accident a trnllie inspector had been following the cycle along the Hutt road. He was the lirst to arrive on the scene. He telephoned for the ambulance. He was admitted to the Public Hospital. His condition last evening was satisfactory. HEAD INJERIES Said to have fallen oil' ;i motor-ear. Samuel Trudgcon. of lift Montreal street, was picked up by a St. John ambulance on the Mam North road nvnr Belfast last evening and taken to the Public Hospital. Trurigeon was suffering from head injuries. Flis ronditinn was not Fcrious.
