♦— —- BREAKDOWN OF NEGOTIATIONS GOVERNMENTS TO CONFER iismsii or/i'iai. wiit'.iiss. 1 RUGBY, March 15. Referring, in the House of Commons, to the breakdown of negotiations between Lancashire and Japanese textile interests, the president of the Board of Trade (the Rt. Hon. Walter Runciman), said: "The negotiations were arranged as a result of discussions between his Majesty's Government and the Government of Japan, and it therefore becomes necessary for the two Governments to review the situation that arises as a result of the breakdown. I accordingly have arranged to sec the Japanese Ambassador forthwith. It would be premature to make any further statement at ; li e present time." The subject will be raised in the debate on the adjournment of the House to-night.
