FLIGHT OF SOUTHERN CROSS OVER THE ALPS.—The Southern Cross, piloted by Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith, leaving the Wigram Aerodrome yesterday morning for a flight over the Southern Alps, South Westland, the Southern Sounds, and Central Otago. The trip was made to enable photographers to take pictures from the air of the scenery of the South Island.
