MEASLES EPIDEMIC
KOUK MOUE SCHOOLS CLOSED Four more schools in tlie Canterbury education district were closed yesterday because of measles. The Blackball School, on the West Coast, and the Okute Valley School, on Banks Peninsula, were reported to be closing early in the day. and 1: r it was stated that the Belfast and Wharenui Schools had closed. The headmaster of the Burwood School, Mr J. Southward, stated yesterday that his school would reopen on Monday. Measles were definitely on the wane in that district.
