TRAMWAY TRAFFIC STAFF
- ♦ API'KALS AGAINST DISRATING TWO TO lili WITHDRAWN Two of the members of the traffic staff of the Christchurch Tramway lioard who were disrated recently and who were included in the 29 men who arc appealing against their reduction in status have decided to withdraw their appeals. The reason for their decision, it is understood, is that the work they have been given and the pay they are receiving .since they were disrated arc satisfactory to them. The appeals on behalf of the rcinainin.t; 27 men are to be heard before Ihe Tramway Appeal Board next Wednesday.
North Uracil Petition The Tramway Board at its meeting on Monday will receive a deputation representing the signatories to the North Beach petition asking for the restoration to the positions previously held by them of the four trolley-bus' drivers who were disrated in the recent statf adjustments. The petition forms in circulation are being called in, but provision has been made for last-minute signatures to be added.
