The Wellington representative cricket team arrived from th= north yesterday morning and left later for Duncdin, where it will play the Otago team in the final match of the Plunket Shield series, commencing to-mor-row. Because of the cancellation of the Australian team's visit it is possible that the Wellington team will play a match against South Canterbury and one against Canterbury. SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE The management committee of the Suburban Cricket Association met on Tuesday evening, Mr E. King presiding, and the following members were ako present; Messrs J. E. Fleming, H. W. Rogers, G. T. Hillsdon, J- Clarkson, S. Cawthcray, A. B. Blackwood, D. Mitchell, L. Hood, W. Sleeman, C. Holland, F. Harris. E. Cox, F. Kiddey, and W. C. Aitken. It was decided to hold the annual Picnic at Stewart's Gully -on Sunday next. The Addington Convent School wrote soliciting assistance in providing cricket material for the use ol pupils. It was decided to reply . Elating that as the association had no material the matter would be referred { >'.o the various clubs. Messrs E. King and 11. W. Rogers were appointed to represent the association at a meeting of the Pioneer Sports Club. The Wellington Mercantile Cricket League wrote asking for support in i the promotion of a Dominion suburban ] cricket association, and suggesting that a conference be held in Wellington this season. The matter was held over for the delegates' meeting. The Corsair Club wrote asking for information regarding its match with Ounihia last Saturday, staling that the Ouruhia Club captain had verbally stated that his team would default. The match was awarded to Corsair. It was decided to invite the Ashburfon Association to send junior and third grade teams to play at Christchurch at Easter. The register-keeper reported the non-delivery of match results by sevj era! clubs, and it was suggested that | jhe penalty may be increased in i'uJ Uire eases.
