Hatloss, and dressed in khaki shorts and shirt, Prince George today climbed the Table Mountain (3000 feet), accompanied by General Jan Smuts, the Deputy-Prime Minister, who is an expert mountaineer and botanist. Prince" George climbed easily and nimbly negotiated the difficult waterfall climb. CEREMONY AT PRETORIA (Received February 12, 9.20 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, February 12. When Prince George reaches Pretoria he will present to the town the silver trowel with which President Kruger laid the foundation stone of the Pretoria Town Hall, in 1892. This was formerly in the possession of Surgeon-General Sir William Camp-bell-Williams, who served in the Boer War, with the Australian and New Zealand contingents.
