MEETING OF MONS VETERANS
♦ Mr V. Ellena presided over an attendance of 18 members of. the Old Contemptibles' Association on Saturday evening. The chairman extended a welcome to four new members, Major Howell, !R.F.C, late Indian Army, Staff-Ser-geant Ellis, Northumberland Fusiliers, Private E. J. Bond, West Riding Regi- j ment, and Private A. Long, sth Dra- j goon Guards. i The secretary reported that badges | would be issued to members similar to j the design of the Mons Star. ; A remarkable reunion took place j when .three members of a famous cavalry regiment, and three members of an infantry regiment, met after a. period of nearly 20 years. At the close of the meeting a pleas-. ant hour was spent in reminiscences interspersed with musical items. j I
