THE COST OF THE BANKS' GOLD

TO THE *IjITOR OF TUB rtr.SM. Sir,—ln yesterday's issue of "The Press" your correspondent "Oigle" states that someone has been pulling my leg, and then presumes to give me some childish advice; but notwithstanding his assumption of superior knowledge, he makes no attempt to show that he has even the most elementary acquaintance with the subject. Obviously he desires your readers to believe that he could easily disprove my statements, but, knowing his limitations, he is too "canny" to make the attempt, so instead of argument he resorts to a feeble attempt at ridicule—a method much favoured by persons of limited intelligence who arc unable to support their opinions with facts.—Yours, etc., G. W. ATMORE. February 8, 1931.
