HEALTH STATISTICS

In the Canterbury and West Coast Health District in the week which ended at noon yesterday, two fewer cases of infectious and other notifiable diseases were reported as compared with the previous week. The total was six, as follows-—Canterbury: Scarlet fever, one; diphtheria, one; pueroeral sepsis, two; puerperal fever (not ordinary) one. Coast: Pueroeral sepsis, one. There were three deaths from tuberculosis reported in the Canterbury district.
