DESIRE FOR NATIONAL WAGE REGULATION LONDON. December 28. The miners' conference passed a resolution regretting that the Government had not brought pressure to bear on coalmine-owners to participate in a joint examination into the possibilities of the establishment of national machinery for wage regulation. The conference also protested against the Government's removal of the only effective safeguard ag;"'nsi (~ 'i r- ''eductions while granting the owners' request, regarding working hours.
