COMPLIMENTARY CONCERT

SCOTTISH SOCIETY'S FUNCTION With the usual swing for which the Scottish concerts are renowned the complimentary gathering for the relatives of the former Chief Thomas Gordon held last night in the Scottish Society's hall was enjoyed by a large audience, who recalled every performer. The concert was arranged by the Campbell brothers, who also contributed items. Chief Telfer thanked those present on behalf of Mrs Gordon, and also the performers, who had given their services to make the concert the success that it certainly was. After the items were finished all joined in a dance for which music was supplied by the society's orchestra. The items included:—Songs, Mrs Voller, Miss K. Chappie, Miss Anita Graham, H. Francis; song and patter, L. and G. Stewart; Irish song and dance, Jean Dickson; tap duo, E. Hegan and Miss K. Walton; musical act, Campbell Bros.; comedy, J. Lockhart; piano solo, Miss Gibbs; violin and piano duet, D. Mitchel and G. Bruce; and an item by Master K. Mackwell. Mrs Creagh was accompanist for the evening.
