RENDERS FOR TONGAN x BANANAS. Tenders are invited for the dutchase of the WHOLE OF THE SHIPMENTS OF BANANAS from Tonga during the calendar year 1934, commencing January, on the following conditions: (1) Price quoted to be per case, f.0.b.. Nukualofa and/or Vavau. (2) Tenders to be for approximately 3200 Cases, January to April, inclusive. Approximately 2500 Cases, May to September, inclusive. Approximately 3200 Cases, October to December, inclusive. Note: Arrangements have been concluded with the Union Steam Ship Co. for regular monthly loadings to Auckland by trans-Pacific cargo vessels. (3) Quantities subject to adjustment if quotas altered. (4) Bananas will be inspected before shipment and a certificate supplied by the Tongan Government Agricultural Department, showing that the bananas were green and in good condition when shipped. (5) Bananas will be packed in standard Tongan cases, measuring approximately 3ft x 12in x lOin. (6) The Tongan Government will not be responsible for crop failure or any other condition beyond its control. (7) Payment in New Zealand funds to be made to the Tongan Government Agents on presentation of Bill of Lading and Tongan Government Grader's certificate.
