DANCE RECITAL

BENEFIT FOR ORPHANAGES

As a result of the two dance recitals in the Radiant Hall on Saturday, and again last night, by the pupils of Miss Bessie Macdonald, the St. Saviour's Orphanages should benefit to a handsome extent. For many years Miss Macdonald and her students have made the welfare of the orphans the aim of the annual recitals, and the appreciation of the public, both of the excellence of the programmes presented and the destiny of the proceeds, has been shown by large attendances. In expositions of the graceful ballroom styles, modern tap-dancing, and acrobatic work of an advanced type, the pupils made the best of their work last night, and, as on Saturday, the whole programme went with a swing and snap that is the aim, not always achieved, of both amateurs and professionals.
