CINEMA STAR ARRESTED IN MEXICO
ALLEGED TO HAVE INSULTED SOLDIERS MEXICO CITY, November 21. Lee Tracy, the cinema star, who is making a film here called "Viva Villa," to which Mexicans have objected strongly, was ordered to-day by the police authorities to remain here, pending a further investigation of complaints that he "insulted the Mexican Government and offended public morals." It is alleged that Tracy, clad only in a blanket, appeared on his hotel balcony on Sunday during a parade celebrating the Mexican revolutionary anniversary and shouted insults while the crack corps of cadets from the Chapultepec Military Academy passed. To make matters worse, it is alleged the blanket slipped off. He was arrested twice, the American consul securing his release on his own recognisance.
