An invitation from the chief commissioner of scouts in Victoria to send a party from New Zealand to the centenary jamboree in 1934 and 1935 is referred to in the annual report of the Boy Scouts' Association of New Zealand. Arrangements are being made by the Victorian scout authorities, the report states, for the attendance of at least 15,000 scouts at the jamboree which will be held in Melbourne, probably l r01 ?l ° GCC ™ bei ' 28, 1934, to JanuarV I. IDo j. The jamboree camp will probably be concluded with a tramp ot two days through the Dar.denong ranges. Provision is also being made for scouts to inspect the leading factories of Melbourne. Notification has already been received by the New Zealand association that scouts from the Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Nelson, and Canterbury districts intend to travel to Melbourne tor the jamboree.
